Alternative Asset Management Firm Secures Investor Communications with a Codeless Dynamo Integration

Challenge

Alternative asset management firms must deliver accurate, timely, and professional investor statements to build trust and meet transparency requirements. A global alternative asset management firm had deployed Dynamo Software's investor reporting and fundraising platform, using its Mail Merge Wizard to send personalized investor communications through Microsoft Outlook — most of them carrying sensitive documents as email attachments. Dynamo's own reporting tools couldn't track prospective investor engagement with those emailed materials or adequately secure the statements sent to current investors.

Solution

The firm deployed eSHARE to complement Dynamo without requiring any custom code. A mail flow rule in Microsoft Exchange routes investor emails to eSHARE's Secure Mail Gateway using a campaign-specific keyword in the subject line; eSHARE then replaces each attachment with a secure link and stores the original file in Microsoft Azure Blob Storage, applying authentication and access controls to every download while reporting on engagement across the campaign as a whole.

• Investor statements are now delivered as authenticated, access-controlled links instead of unprotected attachments
• The firm gained campaign-level engagement and analytics on investor communications for the first time
