eSHARE was founded on the belief that sensitive data can be shared externally without surrendering the governance boundary built to protect it.
Every time a file is shared outside the Microsoft 365 tenant, something else goes with it: the policy that governs access, the audit trail that proves compliance, and the containment boundary that security architecture was designed to protect. Organizations know this. Most have decided it is the acceptable cost of doing business beyond their walls.
eSHARE was founded in 2012 by a team of information security engineers who disagreed with that premise. The company was built on a single technical conviction — that external collaboration and data containment are not opposites, and that the right architecture can deliver both without asking organizations to choose between them. Over thirteen years, that conviction became a platform: the Trusted Collaboration Fabric, woven natively into Microsoft 365 and trusted by Fortune 2000 organizations in the most heavily regulated industries in the world.

Data that never leaves the governance boundary cannot be exfiltrated. Every design decision at eSHARE starts from that premise and works backward.
Compliance that only holds up at audit time is not compliance. eSHARE enforces policy continuously, at the moment of access, not in a quarterly review cycle.
The right place for enterprise collaboration is the platform organizations already trust. eSHARE extends Microsoft 365 rather than replacing it, because the best governance is invisible to the people it protects.
eSHARE customers operate in environments where a mishandled file has consequences: CMMC audits, FDA inspections, HIPAA investigations, SEC reviews. The platform was built for those stakes, not adapted for them.
We didn't set out to build another file sharing tool. We set out to prove that the tradeoff between collaboration and control was never real, and that the organizations who can least afford a breach deserved a better answer than 'just use guest accounts and hope for the best.'
