Retire Intralinks and run the data room in Microsoft 365

eSHARE makes the data room part of Microsoft 365, so there is no second copy of the deal files, no separate room to provision, and one set of controls over all of it

○  The Challenge

Intralinks builds a new room per deal, outside Microsoft 365

M&A moves fast, and each deal has meant standing up a separate virtual data room. A decade ago, Intralinks solved the data room when Microsoft 365 could not. Today, the trade-off is a room outside the tenant, provisioned per transaction, with a separate account for every advisor and a second copy of the deal's most sensitive files. At close the room is retired, and the audit trail retires with it.

The data room runs where the documents are created

eSHARE makes the data room part of Microsoft 365. Documents stay in SharePoint, and advisors and counsel reach them through time-limited Trusted Shares under their own company login, with every access logged and revocable. Stand it up once and every deal after that reuses the same policy framework, with the record and the evidence still in the tenant long after close.

A new deal room per transaction, priced per project

In the data room, outside Microsoft 365

A deal-room account per advisor

The room and its audit trail retire

A new deal opens a share inside SharePoint

The documents stay in Microsoft 365, so nothing is uploaded to a second system and nothing has to be provisioned before the first advisor gets access.

An advisor's access can depend on a signed NDA

Each advisor gets a time-limited Trusted Share under their own company login, and the policy can read whether the agreement is in place before it decides.

Each share carries its own watermark, expiry, and download rule

Set them per share rather than per room, and revoke one advisor in seconds when the deal closes or a party drops out. Every view and download lands in the audit trail.

Every data room action lands in one audit record

Every view, download, and access lands in a complete, time stamped audit trail that stays in Microsoft 365 after the deal closes.
