The Role
We're looking for a Platform Engineer to join our infrastructure team in Athens. You'll work hands-on across Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability — helping us run and improve a multi-cloud, compliance-certified platform.
Out-of-the-box thinking and adaptability matter to us. We work in a fast-paced, agile environment and prioritize incremental iteration and continuous improvement over having every detail figured out up front. We're looking for someone who is self-organized, proactive, and drawn to automating anything that can be automated.
The scope is broad: Kubernetes across Azure and AWS, cross-cloud networking, streaming data infrastructure, Cloudflare Zero Trust, and Compliance-as-Code for frameworks like SOC 2, FedRAMP, and ISO 27001. If you want real ownership of production infrastructure from day one, this is the right place.
Responsibilities
• Operate and improve private AKS clusters across Azure Commercial and Azure Government (Cilium, FIPS, CMK)
• Write and maintain Terraform modules for cloud infrastructure, networking, and security controls
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines on GitHub Actions
• Operate and improve observability, alerting, and incident response
• Contribute to Compliance-as-Code — turning regulatory requirements into enforceable infrastructure controls
• Support cross-cloud networking (Azure ↔ AWS VPN, private endpoints, edge/DNS) and our streaming analytics platform
• Work on Cloudflare Zero Trust infrastructure — tunnels, Gateway policies, and DNS
• Proactively implement secure-first solutions — security is a first-class requirement
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps
Required Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience with a major cloud provider (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP translates)
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Strong coding and scripting skills (Bash, Python)
• Comfort working with managed relational databases (e.g., MySQL or PostgreSQL)
• Understanding of monitoring and observability
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Collaborative and ownership-driven — you'll have real responsibility from day one
Preferred Skills
• Multi-cloud experience (Azure + AWS)
• Exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC 2, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, NIST 800-171)
• Experience with streaming/analytics platforms (Kafka, Databricks, Event Hubs)
• Familiarity with network security (Cloudflare, Zero Trust, site-to-site VPN)
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and broader Azure services ecosystem
• Knowledge of security best practices and secure-by-default design
